How We Partner
Editorial features
CountMade’s editorial content is independent. We cover products, brands, and factories because they align with our mission of showcasing genuine Made-in-USA quality not because of payments.
- Types of features: in-depth brand profiles, product spotlights, interviews, and factory tours.
- Selection process: chosen by our editorial team based on relevance, authenticity, and reader value.
- Not guaranteed: submitting a brand does not guarantee coverage. If a product doesn’t meet our standards (per our Methodology), we will not feature it.
- Costs: there is no payment required for editorial inclusion. We may accept review samples for testing, but coverage is at our discretion.
Sponsored features
Sponsored placements allow U.S.-based companies to present their story or products to our audience while remaining clearly labeled. These do not replace independent reviews, they are additive opportunities.
- Value filter: we only accept sponsorships from brands that contribute real value to U.S. manufacturing and align with CountMade’s mission.
- Labeling: all sponsored content is clearly marked (“Sponsored” or “Advertisement”) in compliance with FTC guidelines.
- Review integrity: sponsorship does not guarantee a positive review or override our standards. If we write independently about the same product, we disclose the sponsorship relationship.
- Formats: sponsored articles, homepage highlights, category hub features, or custom campaigns.
Newsletter / Affiliate
Our bi-weekly newsletter and on-site category hubs are designed to connect readers with relevant American-made options.
- Measurement: sponsored newsletter placements include basic performance metrics (opens, clicks).
- Newsletter inclusions: brands may be highlighted in featured product sections, deal alerts, or spotlight segments if they meet our standards.
- Category hubs: curated landing pages (e.g., Apparel, Tools, Outdoors) where brands/products are grouped by type. Inclusion is editorially managed; sponsored upgrades may be available but always labeled.
- Targeting: newsletter segmentation allows us to reach readers by interest (e.g., cooking gear vs. workwear).
Affiliate relationships help sustain CountMade’s mission at no cost to readers. We participate only in reputable networks and programs.
- Networks: ShareASale, Impact, CJ Affiliate, Awin, and other vetted U.S. networks.
- Link treatment: all affiliate links are coded with
rel="sponsored"and disclosures are placed clearly near links in compliance with FTC guidance. - Editorial firewall: brands cannot buy favorable coverage. Affiliate links are added only after a product passes our Methodology standards.
- Transparency: if a product is not available through an affiliate program but is still relevant, we will recommend it anyway.
